We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

A home full of grace is also full of truth, because grace doesn’t make people less holy; it makes them more holy. Grace doesn’t make people despise or neglect truth; it makes them love and follow truth. Far from a free pass to sin, grace is a supernatural empowerment not to sin (Titus 2:11-12). Grace raises the bar, but it also enables us to joyfully jump over that bar. Any concept of grace that leaves us – or our children – thinking that truth is unimportant is not biblical grace.

Even when you include the amendments, the Constitution says only three things about religion. Here’s exactly what the Constitution says about the subject: Article VI: “No religious test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.” Amendment 1: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” In other words: 1. The government is not allowed to make people take a religious test in order to qualify for holding federal office; 2. Congress is not allowed to set up an official national church; and 3. Congress is not allowed to stop people from practicing their religions. These three rules are meant to protect your liberty to follow God, not to abolish it. That famous slogan about a “wall of separation” just isn’t there.

INSTRUCTIONS

Choose a plump, thick ham with a thin layer of fat. Parboil 20 minutes.
Steam and remove all skin. Cut greens in small pieces (1" to 1 1/2"). Chop
celery and pepper fine. Blanch greens, celery and pepper in boiling water
until limp; drain well. Add seasonings and mix. Cool ham until you can
handle it comfortably. Starting at the butt end of the ham, cut three
lengthwise slits, 2" long, all the way through. Second row--two slits.
Third row--three slits, so that one slit for stuffing does not split into
another. The ham is now ready to be stuffed. With your fingers, push the
seasoned greens into slits first from the top, then from underneath, until
you can feel all the spaces have been filled. The remaining greens are
banked over the top of the ham.
To keep the ham in shape, use a large square of clean cloth. Place ham,
skin side up, on the cloth, fold the ends over tightly and pin. Return to
ham boiler and simmer 15 minutes to the pound. Let cool for two hours in
the pot liquor. Chill in refrigerator overnight, in its cloth.
