We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

I…remind you what the true ministry of the Holy Spirit looks like. It’s not chaotic, flashy, and flamboyant (like a circus). It’s usually concealed and inconspicuous (the way fruit develops). We cannot be reminded too often that the Holy Spirit’s primary role is to exalt Christ, especially to elicit praise for Christ from His people. The Spirit does this in a uniquely personal way, first of all by reproving and convicting us - showing us our own sin, opening our eyes to what true righteousness is, and making us sense deeply our accountability to God, the rightful Judge of all (John 16:8–11). The Holy Spirit indwells believers, empowering us to serve and glorify Christ (Rom. 8:9). He leads us and gives us assurance of our salvation (vv. 14–16). He prays for us with groanings too deep for words (v. 26). He seals us, keeping us secure in Christ (2 Cor. 1:22; Eph. 4:30). The Spirit’s daily presence is the source and the secret of our sanctification as He conforms us to the image of Christ.
John MacArthur

Sin needs to be addressed when it is seriously harming the offender, either by direct damage or by impairing his or her relationship with God or other people. Looking out for the well-being of other Christians…is a serious responsibility. Unfortunately, because many Christians have adopted the world’s view that everyone should be allowed to “do his own thing,” some believers will do nothing, even when they see a brother or sister ensnared in a serious sin. This is not the kind of love Jesus demonstrated, nor is it consistent with the clear teaching of Scripture.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Dairy American Spam, Cheese, Feta, Dill, Appetizers 1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 cn Spam
1 pk Frozen phillo dough
4 oz Feta cheese
1 Clove Garlic, minced
1 tb Snipped fresh dill
Butter flavored cooking
Spray

INSTRUCTIONS

Follow the directions on the box for the pastry, ( defrosting, handling,
baking time and temperature) Cut the slab of Spam in half. Cut those pieces
diagonally so you have a triangular cross-section then slice the Spam into
1/4 inch thick triangles. In a small bowl, crumble the cheese, add the
garlic and dill and mix well. Cut the dough into 3 to 4 inch wide strips.
Follow the directions on the box, this dough is tricky to handle. You will
use 2 strips for each pastry. Spray the butter-flavored oil between each
layer. Place a triangle of Spam at the end of the doubled, sprayed strip
and top with 1 teaspoon of the cheese mixture. Fold the filing into the
dough, side to side, (like you learned to fold the American flag in Scouts)
until you have a triangular pastry with several layers enclosing the Spam
filling. Spray (or brush) with butter. Bake until golden. (follow package
directions) These can be frozen before baking and cooked without
defrosting a few at a time as you need them.
