Neither is it the prayers enshrined and intoned in imposing ritual, rising from the great congregation amid ornate temples, and borne on the wings of enchanting music – but the groan, the glance, the tear, the tremulous aspiration of smitten penitents, the veriest lisping of infant tongues; the unlettered petitions morning and evening of the cottage home, where the earthen floor is knelt upon, where the only altar is the altar of the lowly heart, and the sacrifice that of a broken and contrite spirit.

Smoked Trout with Chopped Nuts

INGREDIENTS

1 pk Smoked trout; (135g)
1 tb Heaped; unsalted Mixed
; nuts, chopped
1 tb Horseradish cream
1 tb Mayonnaise
1 tb Lemon juice
Salt and pepper
1 pk Bistro salad; (or salad of your
; choice)

INSTRUCTIONS

1 Toast nuts under a hot grill for approx 1 min until golden. Allow to
cool.
2 Mix together horseradish cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
3 Arrange salad and trout on 2 plates.
4 Sprinkle nuts over trout with a spoonful of dressing at the side.
5 Season with freshly ground black pepper.
