We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Sin needs to be addressed when it is seriously harming the offender, either by direct damage or by impairing his or her relationship with God or other people. Looking out for the well-being of other Christians…is a serious responsibility. Unfortunately, because many Christians have adopted the world’s view that everyone should be allowed to “do his own thing,” some believers will do nothing, even when they see a brother or sister ensnared in a serious sin. This is not the kind of love Jesus demonstrated, nor is it consistent with the clear teaching of Scripture.
Ken Sande

We begin with receiving and then rightly understanding Scripture in our minds. But before we apply the Bible, it must first engage our hearts. Without the mind, biblical application is based on flimsy and deceptive emotions. Yet without the heart, biblical application is based only rote duty and obligation. It’s never hearts informing our minds, but rather minds informing our hearts. Then when we obey, it’s a correct application of Scripture that comes from the affections – loving God with all of our hearts.

INSTRUCTIONS

Comment. I adore fresh ripe mangoes, Here is a wonderful recipe for
fresh ripe tropical fruits. Melt butter in skillet. add brown sugar.
Mix in juice and cook over medium heat and bring to a boil. Lower heat
and add fruit and simmer till warm about 5 minutes. Heat brandy in
small pan. Ignite. BE CAREFUL DOING THIS. when flames dies out, add to
fruit and stir in. Looks wonderful when served in a coconut bowl but
also pretty in glass dishes. Top with ice cream and chopped nuts.
Note: just stir in some coconut extract into vanilla ice cream for a
coconut flavor if you cant find real coconut ice cream. Serves 4 and
double if desired. Posted to Recipe Archive - 01 Dec 96 submitted by:
