We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Preaching means, “to cry out, herald, or exhort.” Preaching should so stir a man that he pours out the message with passion and fervor. Not all passionate pleading from a pulpit, however, possesses divine authority. When a preacher speaks as a herald, he must cry out “the Word.” Anything less cannot legitimately pass for Christian preaching.
Haddon Robinson

If my thirst for joy and meaning and passion are satisfied by the presence of the promises of Christ, the power of sin is broken. We do not yield to the offer of sandwich meat when we can see the sizzling steak on the grill… At first lust tricks me into feeling that I would really miss out on some great satisfaction if I followed the path of purity. But then I take up the sword of the Spirit and begin to fight… And as I pray for my faith to be satisfied with God’s life and peace, the sword of the Spirit carves the sugar coating off the poison of lust… And by the grace of God, (lust’s) alluring power is broken.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Dip 4 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 16-oz chick peas
3 up to
4 T Tahini
1/4 c Lemon juice
1 Clove garlic
Salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Someone requested a recipe for Hummus. Here it is. I believe someone
else requested a recipe for Tabbouleh. Drain and wash the chick peas.
Place chick peas, Tahini, lemon juice in a blender or food processor.
Crush garlic with salt. Add to mixture in blender. Blend well. Add
more lemon juice if needed. Garnish with parsley and sprikle with
olive oil. You can use dried chick peas which have been soaked and
then boiled until tender. For a more traditional way of preparing
Hummus, you can mash the chick peas, Tahini and crushed garlic until
soft. Then add the lemon juice, and a bit of cold water if needed.
But I find that using a food processor is just as easy, and faster.
