We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

It is just as important to trust God as it is to obey Him. When we disobey God we defy His authority and despise His holiness. But when we fail to trust God we doubt His sovereignty and question His goodness. In both cases we cast aspersions upon His majesty and His character. God views our distrust of Him as seriously as He views our disobedience.
Jerry Bridges

Non-Christians seem to think that the Incarnation implies some particular merit or excellence in humanity. But of course it implies just the reverse: a particular demerit and depravity. No creature that deserved Redemption would need to be redeemed. They that are whole need not the physician. Christ died for men precisely because men are not worth dying for; to make them worth it.

We must be absolutely perfect?!

This entry is part 3 of 3 in the series Time-Changer

Jesus is coming back soon to set up His earthly kingdom.
The requirement though, to enter this kingdom,
is that we must be absolutely perfect, and without sin.
No one is without sin.
Not one.

All of us face eternal judgement, and seperation from God.
This is why we must receive Jesus Christ into our lives as Lord.
He is the only one Who lived a perfect life,
and thus became the substitute [payment] for our sins.
He rose from the dead, proving He was God.
And He wants to save us from the
penalty of our sins, and give us eternal life.
But we must first individually receive Him.
This is what it means to believe in Jesus.
God wants us to be reconciled to Himself.
So much so, that He gave His only Son to die for us.

I pray that you will consider what I’m saying.
