We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The parable of hidden treasure is one of many references Jesus made to money and possessions. In fact, 15% of everything Christ said relates to this topic – more than His teachings on heaven and hell combined. Why did Jesus put such an emphasis on money and possessions? Because there's a fundamental connection between our spiritual lives and how we think about and handle money. We may try to divorce our faith and our finances, but God sees them as inseparable.

Moreover, the topic of election is nearly always introduced for a practical purpose, in order to foster assurance (not presumption), holiness (not moral apathy). humility (not pride) and witness (not lazy selfishness)... Similarly in 1 Thessalonians 1:4 Paul unites the love of God and the election of God. That is, He chose us because He loves us, and He love us because He loves us. He does not love us because we are lovable, but only because He is love. And with that mystery we must be content.

1 T heaping grated cheese
1 T Diced onion

to 6 or 20
1 individual size frito corn
chips

INSTRUCTIONS

Pour fritos in large bowl. Add sausge and brisket. Pour pintos and
extra sauce on top. Top with onions and jalepenos. Here's a recipe to
use if your lucky enough to have some trimmings or end pieces of
several kinds of bbq meat left over. Its good enough to use first run
stuff if you don't have leftovers, IMHO. Thought it might go ok for a
super bowl party. This is for one serving. You can make as many as you
have meat for and need. This recipe comes from observation and many
trials of a menu item from a small, shopping center bbq joint located
near Texas Instruments in Austin, Tx. The owner of the joint called it
T-man because the first ones he made were for his 'regulars', just to
clean up the bits and pieces leftover from a frantic lunch crowd. The
T was for trash-man. Word of mouth about how good the concoction was
caused him to make it a full fledged menu item. Hope ya'll like it as
much as I do. Posted to bbq-digest V5 #073 by Rodney Leist
