We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Properties of the divine decrees. They are: 1. Eternal – To suppose any of [God’s decrees] to be made in time, is to suppose that some new occasion has occurred, some unforeseen event or combination of circumstances has arisen, which has induced the Most High to form a new resolution. 2. Wise – Wisdom is shown in the selection of the best possible ends and of the fittest means of accomplishing them. That this character belongs to the decrees of God is evident from what we know of them. They are disclosed to us by their execution, and every proof of wisdom in the works of God is a proof of the wisdom of the plan, in conformity to which they are performed. 3. Free – God was alone when He made His decrees, and His determinations were influenced by no external cause. He was free to decree or not to decree, and to decree one thing and not another. This liberty we must ascribe to Him who is supreme, independent, and sovereign in all His doings 4. Unconditional – The execution of them is not suspended upon any condition which may, or may not be, performed. In every instance where God has decreed an end, He has also decreed every means to that end.

The church is not perfect, but woe to the man who finds pleasure in pointing out her imperfections! Christ loved his church, and let us do the same. I have no doubt that the Lord can see more fault in his church than I can; and I have equal confidence that he sees no fault at all. Because he covers her faults with his own love-that love which covers a multitude of sins; and he removes all her defilement with that precious blood which washes away all the transgressions of his people.
C.H. Spurgeon

INSTRUCTIONS

This soup I like to prepare when I have guest for dinner,I can prepare
it 2 days before. It is very colourful which gives a festive
atmosphere. Source: From my mother with love& more. Family recipe.
Note: When I write optional I mean that for my self I prefer to cut
some calories, But when you have guests ,forget about calories. In a
saucepan melt butter and add onion. saute. In the food
processor.....(How did we manage with out the food processor?)...shred
grossly (if you have the Chips disc is great) and all the peeled and
washed vegetable. Add to the onion and butter ,mix and let saute for
couple of minuets covered. Add the chicken soup, bring to boil,
Taste, add pepper and salt if needed. Cover and cook on small fire for
45 minutes. Note: It is better not to add too much chicken soup
because the soup should be like cream, you can always add after . I
use hand blender that I can put in the saucepan, and I puree it. Just
before I serve I bring soup to a boil, add the cream stir well. Keep
an eye not to let soup to re boil Just to heat it well. Swich fire
off, and serve. Posted to JEWISH-FOOD digest V97 #322 by Nancy Berry
