We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

1. Sickness helps to remind men of death. 2. Sickness helps to make men think seriously of God, and their souls, and the world to come. 3. Sickness helps to soften men’s hearts, and teach them wisdom. 4. Sickness helps to level and humble us. 5. Sickness helps to try men’s religion, of what sort it is.
J.C. Ryle

The road to the Kingdom is not so pleasant, and comfortable, and easy, and flowery, as many dream. It is not a bright sunny avenue of palms. It is not paved with triumph, though it is to end in victory. The termination is glory, honor, and immortality; but on the way, there is the thorn in the flesh, the sackcloth, and the cross. Recompense later; but labor here! Rest later; but weariness here! Joy and security later; but here endurance and watchfulness – the race, the battle, the burden, the stumbling block, and oftentimes the heavy heart.

148:1 Halleluja!

148:7 Lobet den HERRN auf Erden, ihr Walfische und alle Tiefen;

148:8 Feuer, Hagel, Schnee und Dampf, Strumwinde, die sein Wort ausrichten;

148:9 Berge und alle Hügel, fruchtbare Bäume und alle Zedern;

148:10 Tiere und alles Vieh, Gewürm und Vögel;

148:11 ihr Könige auf Erden und alle Völker, Fürsten und alle Richter auf Erden;

Halleluja!
