We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

We constantly want to justify ourselves before God, to be good enough without Christ. But God does not want us to trust in our goodness. He does not want us to make up for our past sins through present obedience. He does not want us to think that we are good enough to go to heaven by comparing ourselves to the Hitlers and Stalins of the world. Comparisons are useless when it comes to establishing righteousness before God. God crucified His one and only Son for our justification, and He wants us to trust in Him alone. When it comes to being justified, faith plus anything else is quicksand. The only ground for right standing before God is Christ Jesus grabbed ahold of by faith.
Jay Harvey

Praying a prayer is never offered in Scripture as a ground of assurance, nor is sincerity. Jesus tells us not to look at prayers and sincerity for assurance, but at our actions – the fruit of our lives (Matt. 7:15-27; John 15:8; 2 Pet. 1:5-12). The New Testament tells us to look at the holiness of our conduct, the love we have for others, and the soundness of our doctrine as the key indicators of our assurance (1 Thess. 3:12-13; 1 John 4:8; Gal. 1:6-9; 5:22-25; 1 Tim. 6:3-5) (Mark Dever and Paul Alexander).

Confession 15 Blood Of Christ

CONFESSION 15

THE BLOOD OF CHRIST

Through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, I am redeemed out of the hand of the enemy and from the curse of the law. Through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, all of my sins are forgiven. The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, continually cleanses me from all sin. Through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ I am justified; made righteous; just as if I had never sinned. Through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, I am sanctified; made holy and complete; set a part to God. My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit; redeemed, cleansed and sanctified by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, Satan has no part in me, no place in me, and no power over me because of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the word of my testimony.
