II. ABRAHAM’S CHILDREN INHERIT HIS ESTATE

1. Covenant with God (Gen 17:1-10)
   1. Land of Canaan given
   2. Father many nations-exceeding fruitful
   3. Protection: “touch not mine anointed” (2 Ch. 16:21)
   4. Last for 1000 generation (2 Ch. 16:15)
2. Sign to be CIRCUMCISION
3. “Finding fault with [the first covenant], he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant” (Heb. 8:8)
4. Heb. 8:13, “In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth & waxeth old is ready to vanish away.”
5. “The promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not…through the law, but through the righteousness of faith” (Ro. 4:13)
