We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Many Christians estimate difficulty in the light of their own resources, and thus they attempt very little and they always fail. All giants have been weak men who did great things for God because they reckoned on His power and presence to be with them.

Bible Reading: OCT12: Matthew 27-28

Chapters 26 and 27 record the account of Christ’s
capture, trial, and crucifixion. There are definitely two
schools of thought concerning the day on which Christ died.
Some Bible scholars say He died on the traditional Good
Friday, and others say He died on Wednesday. This is not a
point to be argued. The main point of the death, burial,
and resurrection of Christ is that He conquered death and
the grave, and made the way possible for every person in
the world to go to heaven. He bore the condemnation of sin
for every man, and the only reason man stands condemned
today is because he has not received Jesus Christ as His
personal Saviour. John 3:18 gives us the cause of, and
remedy for, condemnation.

Finally, in chapter 28:16-20, the Great Commission
is given. Notice the order of that commission. The eleven
disciples went to Galilee and saw Jesus. He gave them
power, and then sent them into the world. In order for us
to serve the Lord, we must first, by faith, see Jesus and
accept Him as our personal Saviour. We then must receive
power from His Holy Spirit to go and tell the entire world.

As Christians, we need to fulfill God’s commandment
and commission to us. There are so many today who are lost
and seeking the truth, but cannot find the way. There are
false teachers and preachers on every hand who are teaching
false doctrine; but the true message of Christ still stands
today, as it did when it was written in Matthew 28. Come
see Him; receive His power; then go and tell. We must all
be faithful to this task.
MEMORY VERSE FOR TODAY:
Man now can be:
Reconciled.
Colossians 1:20
And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by
him to reconcile all things unto himself, by him, I say,
whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
