Let us thank God heartily as often as we pray that we have His Spirit in us to teach us to pray. Thanksgiving will draw our hearts out to God and keep us engaged with Him; it will take our attention from ourselves and give the Spirit room in our hearts.

Black Eyed Peas The New Way (hl)

INGREDIENTS

2 c Black eyed peas
6 c Water
2 t Cayenne pepper
1 t Black pepper
1/2 t Yellow onion
1 Red pepper
Salt, to taste
1 t Garlic powder

INSTRUCTIONS

Bring peas to a very low boil. Add all ingredients and cook for 1
hour. Salt and pepper to taste.  Yield: 6 servings  Nutritional
