INSTRUCTIONS

Into a 1 qt. jar add enough canned Cherries, in natural juices, to fill the
jar. Mix into some brandy 1 tsp. cherry extract. Pour that and more brandy
into the 1 qt. jar.Add 1/2 cup sugar and shake the jar to dissolve. Let
sit, slightly open or covered with cheesecloth for 2-4 weeks. Cap and give
as gifts.
You can do the same with peaches, apricots, or any other fruit you would
like. Just if there is no extract for that fruit, then add some almond
extract instead. Think of some of this poured over ice cream on a hot
Summer day:):) Yum!!
Cheryl Gavard--If you like the taste of almonds, try making the cherries,
peaches or whatever you like with Amaretto. It's fabulous. If you want a
bit more decadence (along with cost) I know you like the Godiva
liqueur--it's fantastic with bing cherries!!
