Broiled Parmesan Potatoes (oregon)

INGREDIENTS

2 T Margarine, or butter melted
1 t Dried basil, crushed
1/2 t Paprika
1/4 t Garlic powder
1/8 t Pepper
2 Potatoes, diagonally sliced
to 1/4-inch thick
1/4 c Grated parmesan
OR romano cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

Stir together margarine or butter basil, paprika, garlic powder and
pepper. Place potato slices in a single layer on the unheated rack of
a broiler pan. Brush margarine mixture over both sides of potato
slices. Broil about 5-inches from the heat for 8 to 9 minutes until
potatoes begin to brown. Turn potatoes, using a wide spatula.  Sprinkle
with cheese. Broil for an additional 4 to 6 minutes until  potatoes are
