Catholic Health System

I would like to commend the Catholic Health System for their excellent ministry of providing health care at various hospitals all over the world. I do not remember the exact wording of their Mission Statement, but know that their objective is to provide compassionate care to those without means in their communities.

My recent exposure to a local hospital run by the Catholic Health System was very positive. The level of personal care and concern conveyed to the patient and family was heartwarming. A few nurses were free enough to share their confidence and faith in God. One in particular said “it’s hard to understand how a person can’t believe when there are so many miracles”.

The social concern of Catholic people I have been exposed to stands out as an expression of their faith. When any of us do good works and have opportunities to encourage people to draw close to God, we have fulfilled the mission of Jesus Christ.
