We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

[God] did not come up with a mission for His church as much as He formed a church for His mission… If a church is not engaging in mission, it really has no point in existing.

Both our Lord and His bondslave Paul made clear that true prayer is not dreamy reverie. “All vital praying makes a drain on a man’s vitality. True intercession is a sacrifice, a bleeding sacrifice,” wrote J.H. Jowett. Jesus performed miracles without a sign of outward strain, but “He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears” (Hebrews 5:7).

Christmas, Easter, and what happens next…

Christmas and Easter

Two of the most important days for all of mankind.  On these days, Jesus (the CHRIST of Christmas) was born, and rose from the dead (documented by hundreds of witnesses) to prove that all he said and would do is true.

Jesus 2nd Coming and Judgement

What you do BEFORE these 2 days happen is critically important, because once they come, your eternity is set forever.  There will be no do-over – your eternity will either be spent in Heaven with those who love and serve God, or in Hell with those who don’t.  Jesus second coming will be sudden – no one knows the exact time, so it will be a surprise to us all.

How can you be ready for something that can happen at any time?  What must you do to be saved [from judgement and Hell, because of your sins]?  The Bible says:

Repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out, so that you can be refreshed (made new) by the presence of the Lord, and so that he may send the Messiah appointed for you—that is, Jesus”.

Here’s how one man repented as he spoke to another man who rejected Jesus:

“Have you no fear of God, for you are subject to the same condemnation? 41 And indeed, we have been condemned justly, for the sentence we received corresponds to our crimes, but this man [Jesus] has done nothing criminal.” 42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me, when you come into your kingdom.”

43 He [Jesus] replied to him, “Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”[12]
