by J. Randal Matheny © 2013What poison to your dreams, reality!
The day-to-day demands, mortality;
All reasons why you cannot now achieve,
You cannot change, you cannot think to leave.Throw caution to the wind and dream to dare,
Your head upturned to the sun, your forehead bare,
Your face upon the future's promised gold,
The prize to him who's single-minded and bold.Have faith! Believe! Launch out to reach the deep,
The shore is safe for those who fear to leap;
But he who braves the tides in full pursuit
Of life and love will eat the sweetest fruit.— ‹‹«»›› —
