We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

How completely satisfying to turn from our limitations to a God who has none. Eternal years lie in His heart. For Him time does not pass, it remains; and those who are in Christ share with Him all the riches of limitless time and endless years. God never hurries. There are no deadlines against which He must work. Only to know this is to quiet our spirits and relax our nerves. For those out of Christ, time is a devouring beast.
A.W. Tozer

No second class citizen, the body is a “temple of the Holy Spirit” (1 Cor. 6:19) and is indispensable to the activity of the heart. Without it we would have no access to the physical world and we simply would not be persons. Accordingly, Paul could not imagine a person without a corporeal nature (1 Cor. 15). The whole person consists of body and heart together. Both are essential and neither can function in the material realm in isolation of the other.

We often focus on the link between salvation in verses 8 and 9, and the good works which are the result of salvation in verse 10. This is
an important point, because those who are ignorant of the Scripture often confuse the results of grace with the means of grace. However it is also worth meditating on the fact that we are God's workmanship.

God is working on our
personalities, character and lives to create something pleasing in His sight. God is the Master Craftsman, and He is molding and shaping us into something He can use and something which will be pleasing in His sight. When we go through troubles or even persecutions, we should rejoice because God will use all things for His purpose.

Too often we can judge ourselves by worldly standards (physical beauty, money, possessions and even worldly education and attainment). If we lack these things we may feel bad about ourselves. But God is not interested in things. God is interested in only one thing; glorifying Himself by transforming us into the image of Christ.

Are you working with the Workman to bring about a transformed life?

A giant eagle lit upon the carcass and began to pick out the eyes. Finally the carcass began to enter the rapids of the mighty falls and was about to go over.
All that time eagle was unconscious of any danger, but just as the carcass was about to make the fatal
plunge over the falls, the eagle awoke to the danger. He spread forth his mighty wings but his talons had become fastened in the wool of the sheep and would not let go. The mighty bird fluttered and screamed but the Carcass pulled him over the falls to his death.”
How like so many who unconscious of the danger, day by day are becoming entangled in the meshes of sin that will damn them in hell.
