Word for Today, Thu, 24 July 2008: My Utmost For His Highest : "Disposition And Deeds"

Posted by: masinick <masinick@...>

Dear Friends,

In my now infrequent mailings, I occasionally forward, with my comments,
messages from other authors. Perhaps on a very rare occasion you may
receive some original content if the Lord provides both the Spirit and
the time to write.

This message covers a passage of scripture that is very important to
me. My question to you - and you can get this from the message if you
are paying attention is this:

Where does this "righteousness" come from? Doesn't our righteousness
appear as "filthy rags"? Where then is the righteousness? I know the
answer, and I know how I can be viewed as righteous? Do you?

If you really do not know and you want further reading or hints, please
write me privately and I would be glad to point you to scripture and
make it simple to understand. But hopefully the scripture today and the
accompanying message is quite clear and the answer will be obvious.

Dear Jesus, the righteous One, I thank You for the hope that I have in
You. I praise You for your goodness. I thank You for today and every
good day, for every good and perfect gift comes from You. Lord, today I
asked You for something personal and You answered me in a most
interesting way. Thank you so much! Please cleanse me continually,
that I may be clean. I remember the words of David, who said that when
you wash him, he would be as white as snow. May the filth that is in
places that only You see be made clean. I thank you now because you
deserve all thanks, honor, glory, and praise. Amen.

Yours in Christ,
Brian
