by J. Randal MathenyFarmer Richard reaped his corn
And stored it in his dry, clean barn,
Then laid aside his tools.
All during winter's cold, hard night,
By his computer's glaring light,
He sent us tales of fools.His forwards carry sly cartoons,
As Richard whiles the afternoons
And dreams of planting crops.
Until the spring he's Inter-hooked,
His slack agenda fully booked
With humorous email swaps.>From Richard's house I never hear
At any other time of year;
He shows with Santa's elf.
Of all his funny tales and jokes,
The best are those he lightly pokes
At himself.---
