[GEAR] Mixing Desk - Fix!

I posted a while back about our GL-3 mixing desk, and got referred
to Carey at Allen & Heath in the UK. (Whoever provided the address,
thanks!) Got a very prompt repsonse suggesting that dirty inserts
could be causing the problem, and a quick diagnostic which consisted
of putting a TRS jack with the tip and ring shorted together into
the dead channel, and seeing if the sound came back - it did!!

Since I can remember using the inserts on the board only once in
more than ten years, this is not something I would have thought of.
Kudos to Carey at Allen & Heath for a prompt and helpful response,
and for those on-list involved in sound, file that one away for
future reference!
