Moving Forward

I am about to do something new. It is beginning to happen even now. Don't you see it coming? (Isaiah 43:19a NIRV)

I love the new beginnings God has so graciously entwined into our world. Every new day is a chance to try again. Every new week, an opportunity to start fresh. Every new year holds the prospect of laying to rest the weights of the past and becoming the person you were created to be. All too often, though, the heartbreaks of the past engulf our new beginnings and thwart our God-given identity. Therein lies Satan's plan for your life - destroying the image of God within you in order to keep you from your amazing God-given destiny. But there is hope. The "accuser of the brethren" is already defeated. The master deceiver is no match for the Great I Am.

The wounds of the past, the naysaying voices of the past, the limitations of the past all have one thing in common - they are in the past. You can either allow them to dictate your present and rob you of an extraordinary future, or you can lay them at the foot of the cross, allow Jesus to heal the destruction, and take a step forward by His grace. What will it be?

Not going back, moving ahead

I'm here to declare to You, my past is over

In You, all things are made new

Surrendered my life to Christ

I'm moving, moving forward.
