day. Maybe it's not an off poem. 🙂

MY HEART

Romantics carve initials in the tree,
or else on rock, a sign for all to see,
though passions wane before the morning star,
for candlelight dims harsh reality.
The sun's stark rays show things the way they are.
Instead of trees or rocks to carve your name,
I choose my heart, where love remains the same.
