Re: another Win 10 upgrade issue

Sounds like fun wish I was there.  I would start with; is it hardware or software, does the device manager show the network interface is working properly?

Then from the W10 search function (same as Run);     inetcpl.cpl
connections, LAN settings,    will normally be set to auto detect and no proxy, but malware can tamper those.

Then reboot to SafeMode, which should stop stuff like Bit Defender, etal.

If something there gets joy then you can probably dissect it, but I would be asking how generic is this system.  Once confirmed the NIC and its driver are good with W10, (backup but) confidence is higher a format clean install will solve it, the trade off of course being everything will need to be reinstalled.

Subject: [CCMag] another Win 10 upgrade issue

Have you heard of anyone losing their internet access (ethernet) after installing Win 10?  If so, was there a cure?   I've searched without finding answers.   The machine has been reverted back to 7 and is working fine.

Blessings

Irene
