SHADOW NEWS

I went to read the news to find a line,
A story, idea, or something flighty or fun --
My poem today's supposed to be upbeat,
But soon I knew I had to concede defeat.
The news is always negative, by the ton.
The news sees shadows, darkness is its shrine,
While I prefer to dance in God's sunshine.
