by J. Randal MathenyWavers at tunnel's end a pin-prick of light,
My hope of success, my rest, my faith become sight.
That shimmering point shines weakly and often dim,
But not from smoldering wick or oily haze.
My eyes get heavy with woes and weights, aswim
In sorrows, lost in tones of dubious grays.
And then the flicker of light captures my gaze.---
