We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Faith and works are bound up in the same bundle. He that obeys God trusts God; and he that trusts God obeys God. He that is without faith is without works; and he that is without works is without faith.
Charles Spurgeon

Paul [addressed] the Corinthians as “those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints” (1 Cor. 1:2). The congregation in Corinth was anything but a “holy” people in terms of life and conduct; false teaching, schisms, and immorality marred the church. Still, it was a congregation of saints, of the sanctified, because in spite of the sinful conduct of many of its members and the worldly character of the church itself, it was still the church of God in Corinth.

Jonah makes a box office splash!

Jonah makes a box office splash!

Here’s a big thanks from Big Idea: “Thanks!” We’ve heard from many fans, and we are honored to have shared “Jonah” with you.

The numbers are in, and Big Idea’s Jonah – a VeggieTales Movie opened in sixth place on the box office chart this past weekend, earning more than $6.2 million in its first three days. We couldn’t have done it without you!

It’s a great start for the movie, given that Jonah opened on just 940 screens — less than half of any movie in the top five. In the average gross per screen, Jonah was number two for the weekend! The only movie that did better was the big-budget Red Dragon, which also opened this weekend. Because of the successful launch of the film, Big Idea and Artisan will expand Jonah to about 1,100 screens this week. And don’t forget: the big opening in the Northeastern United States and Northern California is on Friday, October 18!

If you haven’t seen the movie yet, now is a great time. And if you have … now is a great time to grab a friend and see it again! Keep an eye out for those inside jokes you may have missed the first time around. And be sure to stick around for the surprise song toward the end of the credits.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film here at BigIdea.com! And be sure to read what people are saying about Jonah on our reviews page. The official movie site (with the very latest theater list) is at JonahMovie.com.
