We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

O spend your time as you would hear of it in the Judgment!
Richard Baxter

Out of the Closet, or Out of the Boat ?

Out of the Closet, or Out of the Boat ?

Out of the Closet, or Out of the Boat ?

Some of those around us are looking for the acceptance of the World, when they announce that they are "coming out of the closet".   They have been hiding their sin, and now they have found a large community of fellow sinners who will help defend them against the criticism of The Religious Institution.

The Religious Institution are those who reject both the sinner and the sin.  In contrast, Jesus loved the sinner and offered the power to overcome sin.  Are you a member of The Religious Institution?  If you are, you do not have the heart or mission of Jesus Christ.

Think about Peter, a disciple of Jesus.  In the middle of a terrible storm, Peter was in the boat with the 11 other disciples.  Peter trusted in Jesus so much, that he was willing to step out of the boat, leaving his companions and risking his own safety to be with Jesus – wherever He was.

Perhaps you are a Christian who hears Jesus calling to you, to step away from the safety of your place in life, and follow him.  The label "Christian" means nothing to Jesus – he calls us to be His disciples – those following Him and teaching his ways to others.

Will you step Out of the Boat?
