RELIGIOUS JOURNALS From WORLD, quoted in CALVARY CONTENDER, 3/15/90, “A Feb. 2 Mexico City prayer meeting of some 160 evangelicals was attacked by a frenzied mob of about 10,000 Catholics using stones and machetes and shouting, `Kill them!’ and `This is a Catholic town.’ The 2/90 CHARISMA reported more persecution and the stoning deaths of two evangelists by over 100 Catholics. Someone said, `The trouble with North Americans and your relationship with the Roman Catholic Church is, you don’t know what the church is like when it is in control.'”
