We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

For Jesus, time alone with God was not an option… The gospel of Luke tells us that “Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed” (Lk. 5:16)… This is precisely where you and I so often miss out on all that God has for us. Unlike Jesus, we attempt to live life in our own energy. We think we can keep giving out without getting replenished. Then, wearied and weakened by the demands of life and ministry, we become impatient and annoyed with the very ones God has sent us to serve. Rather than exhibiting a gracious, calm, joyous spirit, we become uptight, frazzled, and frenzied (people), resenting, rather than welcoming, the people and opportunities God brings into our lives.

How astonishing is it that a Person who is blessed forever and is infinitely and essentially happy should endure the greatest sufferings that ever were endured on earth! That a Person who is the supreme Lord and Judge of the world should be arraigned and should stand at the judgment seat of mortal worms and then be condemned. That a Person who is the living God and the fountain of life should be put to death. That a Person who created the world and gives life to all His creatures should be put to death by His own creatures. That a Person of infinite majesty and glory, and so the object of the love, praises and adoration of angels, should be mocked and spit upon by the vilest of men. That a Person infinitely good and who is love itself should suffer the greatest cruelty. That Person who is infinitely beloved of the Father should be put to inexpressible anguish under His own Father’s wrath. That He who is the King of heaven, who has heaven for His throne and earth for His footstool, should be buried in the prison of the grave. How wonderful is this! And yet this is the way that God’s wisdom has fixed upon as the way of sinners’ salvation, as neither unsuitable nor dishonorable to Christ.

Remember that it is the total carbohydrate in a food that counts. All
carbohydrates -- starches and sugars -- are eventually changed into blood
glucose. Diabetics can eat sugar as long as it is counted as part of the
total carbohydrate intake for the day. The goal though is to eat
healthfully and to not waste your carbohydrates on foods that do not offer
much in the way of nutrition (like most high sugar foods). The key with
sugar is moderation! Also, remember that sugar free does not mean
carbohydrate free. If you do consume foods with artificial sweeteners, be
sure to check the total carbohydrate count in the food. Do not assume that
it is a good food to eat just because it is sugar free. All of the recipes
that we post on this site try to be low-fat, high-fiber and nutritious.
Because of possible health risks, you will not see recipes with artificial
sweeteners here. We post dessert recipes that, while they may contain some
source of sugar (honey, sugar, fruit juice etc.), ! ! ! are relatively low
in sugar for a dessert recipe. Again, use common sense and moderation when
figuring any food with sugar into your diet.
