We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

How does God do it? How does God open blind eyes and regenerate dead hearts and bring spiritual light? Answer: with the same Spirit-driven power He used in creation to bring physical light. “The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Then God said, ';Let there be light'; and there was light” (Gen. 1:2-3). Likewise, hearts are spiritually darkened and dead. Yet when the Gospel is proclaimed, the Spirit regenerates by shining light to make one now see and thus desire the glory of Jesus Christ more than anything else they ever desired in the past. So at some point for all those truly in Christ, God said, “Let there be light!” and with that they immediately and freely received Christ as their treasure. This is what Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4, verse 6: “For God, who said, ';Light shall shine out of darkness,' is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” The same power once used in creation is now unleashed in recreating the new creation of God.

INGREDIENTS

3 lb Alligator tenderloin- tail meat well; trimmed and cubed
Milk
Salted cold water
Olive oil
20 oz Chicken broth; canned
1 lg Onion; chopped
5 lg Cloves garlic; crushed
1/2 ts Ground white pepper
1 ts Ground cumin
1 ts Oregano flakes; rubbed between the palms
7 oz Diced green chiles
1 lg Ripe tomato; peeled
2 ts Cajun Seasoning; (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

Trim and cut the alligator into 1 inch cubes. Place in a large pot and
cover with the salted water for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Remove and drain
well. Put it back in the empty pot and cover with the milk. Let it stand
for another 1 to 1/2 hours. Remove and drain well. In a large pot over high
heat saute the alligator in the olive oil until all the liquid is gone and
the meat is starting to brown lightly. Remove from the heat and pour off
any excess oil. Add the onions and saute until just crispy tender. Add all
the remaining ingredients except the cornstarch , reduce the heat and
simmer covered until the meat is very tender but not falling apart. About 1
to 2 hours. The liquid should cook down by about 1/3. Mix the corn starch
with a little water or chicken broth and thicken the sauce if you wish. I
don't like it too thick. Serve 6 to 8.
