We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Formerly, when I rose, I began to pray as soon as possible. But I often spent a quarter of an hour to an hour on my knees struggling to pray while my mind wandered. Now I rarely have this problem. As my heart is nourished by the truth of the Word, I am brought into true fellowship with God. I speak to my Father and to my Friend (although I am unworthy) about the things that He has brought before me in His precious Word.

One great paradox of the Christian life is that we are fully responsible for our Christian growth and at the same time fully dependent upon the Holy Spirit to give us both the desire to grow and the ability to do it. God’s grace does not negate the need for responsible action on our part, but rather makes it possible.

8 oz Cream Cheese; Lowfat-Ok

1 tb Scallion; Chopped
1/2 ts Dill
Black Pepper; To Taste
1 hour.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Toast the almonds and set aside.
2. Combine all other ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Chill for at least
3. Form the cream cheese mixture into the shape of a pinecone. Beginning at
the bottom,, gently press the almonds in rows across the pinecone shape.
Continue the rows until the whole shape is covered, and resembles a
pinecone. Either eat immediately or refrigerate. Allow to come up to room
temperature before serving. Garnish with greens.
NOTES : A marble board works well for this as it will hold the cool
temperature longer than a plate. If fresh greens are used be careful that
they are not poisonous.

A Message from our Provider:

“Thankfulness to God is a recognition that God in His goodness and faithfulness has provided for us and cared for us, both physically and spiritually. It is a recognition that we are totally dependent upon Him; that all that we are and have comes from God. #Jerry Bridges”
