We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Knowing God’s will is a matter of judgment. That is why it is not an unspiritual practice, when faced with alternative ways of proceeding, to set down the pros and cons of the situation; the reasons, possibilities, problems of one decision in contrast with another. When we begin to evaluate these against a background of a general knowledge of the Lord’s will in Scripture, we often find our minds drawn in a particular direction. As time passes we begin to feel the weight of one course of action rather than another.
Sinclair Ferguson

The devil shapes himself to the fashions of all men. If he meets with a proud man, or a prodigal man, then he makes himself a flatterer; if a covetous man, then he comes with a reward in his hand. He has an apple for Eve, a grape for Noah, a change of raiment for Gehazi, a bag for Judas. He can dish out his meat for all palates; he has a mold to fit every shoe; he has something to please all conditions.

I've received several requests for the recipe, so I thought I'd post it to
the group since it might not be retrievable from the archives with them
down at this time. The original poster was Iggulden Christin I
4cii@qlink.queensu.ca>. I altered the recipe by adding canned creamed corn
(which you know is just corn - there is no cream).
Preheat oven to 425 degrees f. Pam spray an 8" X 8 " cake pan or equivalent
iron skillet or other oven-proof pan and put into the oven to preheat. Mix
all ingredients, pour batter into heated pan and bake for 20 mins.
Freezes well - if it lasts that long. Refrigerate any leftovers and serve
cold or it also improves when reheated for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees
and gets crisp. Christine likes it hot out of the oven with molasses.
