We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Scripture tells us that the state of an unconverted man is this: he sees no great felicity in the love and communion of God in the life to come, which may draw his heart thither from this present world; but he lives to his carnal self, or to the flesh; and the main bent of his life is, that it may go well with him on earth; and that religion which he has is but a little by the by, lest he should be damned when he can keep the world no longer; so that the world and the flesh are highest in his esteem, and nearest to his heart, and God and glory stand below them, and all their service of God is but a giving him that which the world and flesh can spare. This is the case of every unconverted man; and all who are in this case are in a state of misery.
Richard Baxter

Scripture clearly proclaims Jesus as being God. Long before His birth it was divinely predicted that He would be called Immanuel, which means “God with us,” (Matt. 1:23; cf. Isa. 7:14). He was called by many divine names, such as “the Holy and Righteous One,” (Acts 3:14). It declares that to know Jesus is to know God the Father (John 8:19; 14:7), to hate Him is to hate the Father (15:23), and to believe in Him is to believe in the Father (Matt. 10:40; John 12:44; 14:1). It affirms that to see Him is to see the Father (John 14:9), to honor Him is to honor the Father (5:23), and to receive Him is to receive the Father (Mark 9:37). It proclaims that Jesus is omnipotent (Matt. 28:18), omnipresent (Matt. 28:20), changeless (Heb. 13:8), creator of the world (John 1:3), able to forgive sin (Mark 2:5-10) and is to be worshiped as God (Phil. 2:9-11; cf. Matt. 28:9, Heb 1:6).

Prepare yourself for a wonderful taste of Christmas from the land down
under, as The Cook and Kitchen Staff stop by Australia for a brief
visit on the third leg of our whirlwind tour of holiday specialties
from around the world.
To fully appreciate how the traditions of Australia have evolved, you
need to know that you're visiting the world's sixth-largest country
and the smallest continent, lying between the South Pacific and the
Indian Ocean. Australia is often referred to as the "Land Down
Under," because it is entirely within the Southern Hemisphere.
The Australian flag bears a variety of symbols upon a field of deep
blue. The five stars of the Southern Cross and another single star
represent the five states and territories, while the "Union Jack"
adorns the top third of the flag. Today's recipe . "ANZAC" . is named
for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, where the biscuits
became a familiar menu item as first prepared by early European
settlers in Australia.
Pre-heat oven to 350-F degrees.
In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the butter and maple syrup
with a hand-held electric mixer.
Add flour, baking powder, rolled oats, coconut, and sugar; mix well.
Roll the dough into 2-inch balls and place well apart on a thoroughly
greased baking sheet. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden.
Cool on the baking sheet before removing to store in an airtight
container for up to 2 weeks.
