We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

You are not your own; you are a man under orders. And the One who has drafted you and signed your orders expects that you carry them out in a manner worthy of Him, and in such a way that His authority and His kingdom cannot be ignored. Now go, labor, work, and do your duty well knowing that it is the greatest privilege under heaven to be in the personal service of the Almighty.
David Hegg

The greatest of all the temptations that assail a preacher is pride. Pride, because he is set up there almost on a pedestal. He is standing in a pulpit, he is above the people, all of whom are looking to him. He has this leading place in the Church, in the community; and so his greatest temptation is that of pride. Pride is probably the deadliest and the most subtle of all sins, and it can assume many forms; but as long as one realizes this all is well.

-0400 I have enjoyed this newsgroup immensely. I've gotten so many
good recipes from postings that I thought I'd post one of my
favorites. This came from a newspaper many years ago, and I always
get compliments when I make it. Beat eggs until light & fluffy.
Gradually add in sugar, oil & vanilla. Sift together flour, salt,
soda, cinnamon & nutmeg (I don't sift, just mix); add to first
mixture. Stir in apples & walnuts. Place in greased 9x13" pan. Bake in
350 deg. oven for 45 min. or until center springs back when touched.
Allow to cool in pan on a rack for 15 min; spread with Cream Cheese
Frosting (recipe follows). CREAM CHEESE FROSTING: Beat cream cheese
and butter together. Add vanilla and beat. Gradually beat in
powdered sugar until smooth. Note: Both cake and frosting freeze
well. REC.FOOD.RECIPES ARCHIVES /CAKES From rec.food.cooking
