The Christian life is very much like climbing a hill of ice. You cannot slide up. You have to cut every step with an ice axe. Only with incessant labor in cutting and chipping can you make any progress. If you want to know how to backslide, leave off going forward. Cease going upward and you will go downward of necessity. You can never stand still.
Religion is not a preference. Although people are allowed to hold their own opinions, they cannot make up their own truth. This cannot be done with religion any more than it can be done with mathematics. To insist that all religions are equally true is another way of saying that all religions are equally false… If every religion is compatible with its opposite, why bother with religion at all?
Melt butter and put in a 9x13 inch dish. Heat sugar and water until sugar
melts. Cut shortening into flour. Add milk and form into soft ball; roll
out dough. Sprinkle apples with cinnamon; place on dough and roll up like
jelly roll. Cut in slices and place in pan with melted butter. Pour sugar
syrup around rolls and bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Randy Rigg
