We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Hell glorifies God because: 1. It shows that He keeps His Word. 2. It shows His infinite worth, lasting forever. 3. It demonstrates His power to subdue all who rebel against Him. 4. It shows how unspeakably merciful He is to those who trust Him. 5. It upholds the reality of love by visiting justice against those who reject God, who is love. 6. It vindicates all who suffered to hear or proclaim the truth of God's Word. 7. It shows the enormity of what Jesus accomplished when He died to save all who would trust Him from the hell they deserved. If there were no hell, there would be no need for the cross.
James Hamilton

This dark problem of unmerited suffering lights up as we see what happened at the cross. Jesus did not bear the Cross – He used it. The Cross was sin, and He turned it into the healing of sin; the Cross was hate, and He turned it into a manifestation of the love of God. The Cross showed man at his worst, and there Jesus shows God at His redemptive best. The cruelest, darkest word that life ever spoke was at the Cross, and Jesus took all that cruelty and darkness and turned it into pure love and pure light… What a light it sheds upon the tragedy of life to find such a fact at the center of our faith.

Vegetarian New, Vegtime7 4 servings

INGREDIENTS

1 lb Asparagus; up to 1 1/2 pounds
Tough ends trimmed
1 c Soy mayonnaise
1/2 c Chopped fresh herbs
(such as basil or tarragon or chervil)
1 tb Fresh lemon juice
2 sm Garlic clove; minced
1/4 ts Salt
1/8 ts Freshly ground black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

GARLIC MAYONNAISE
4 TO 6 SERVINGS DAIRY-FREE
Fresh spring-green asparagus is an elegant vegetable, but it's often
paired with calorie-packed sauces. Try serving the spears with a
healthier soy mayonnaise flavored with garlic, and be sure not to
overcook the asparagus. Cooking time will depend on the thickness of
the spears. Asparagus is a great source of folic acid, which is known
to help lower the risk of coronary heart disease.
GARLIC MAYONNAISE: In medium bowl, mix all ingredients. Cover and
chill for at least 1 hour or up to 2 days. Whisk well before serving.
Steam asparagus until crisp-tender, about 4 minutes. Drain, arrange
asparagus on plates and serve hot with spoonful of garlic mayonnaise.
Alternatively, serve asparagus cold. After cooking, drain asparagus,
rinse with cold water until cool, then drain again. Cover and
refrigerate until ready to serve.
