We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Christ is present in all Christians; Christ in prominent in some Christians; But in only a few Christians is Christ preeminent.

Ask yourself this question. Who benefits if you do not spank you child? Surely not the child. The (biblical) passages make it clear that such failure places the child at risk. Who benefits? You do. You are delivered from the discomfort of spanking the child. You are delivered from the agony of inflicting pain on one who is precious to you. You are delivered from the inconvenience and loss of time which biblical discipline requires. I believe this is why the Bible says in Proverbs 13:24 – “He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.” According to this passage, hatred is what will keep me from spanking my child. Love will force me to it.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Grains 4 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 lb Cooked Asparagus
1 oz Finely Ground Hazelnuts
2 T Butter
2 t Cider Vinegar
Salt And Pepper To Taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Wash asparagus under cold running water. Snap off lower end of each
stalk with your fingers. Let the stalk break where it wants to, this
will leave only the tender portion of the stalk. Young tender
asparagus can be cooked in a steamer for 5-7 minutes, the more mature
stalks for 7-10 minutes. Do not over cook asparagus, it will lose
flavor and nutrients if over cooked. At the same time, place the
hazelnuts and butter in a small heavy skillet. Heat until the butter
melts and mix thoroughly. Remove from heat and stir in vinegar. Season
with salt and pepper to taste. Pour hazelnut butter over hot
asparagus. Serve at once. From: Syd's Cookbook. File
