Significantly, spiritual gifts are not the sign of being Spirit-filled. Sanctification is. As believers are sanctified—coming under the Spirit’s control—they are equipped to use their spiritual gifts effectively for the purpose of serving others.
Let us be ruthless to root out theoretical structures that view people as psychological or socio-pyschological abstractions: the phenomena observed are not “ego defense mechanisms” but are pride’s offensive, defensive, and deceptive strategies. And let us also reject the therapeutic assumptions that are consequent to the theory: they are poor and deceptive substitutes for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Method: Add flavorings to whiskey and blend in blender. Add milk and blend
on low speed for 1 minute. Add eggs and pulse stir for 1 minute (use the
lowest speed on blender and turn on-off about eight times). Makes about 4
cups. From Alan Burgstahler. He seems partial to 10 ounce cups. I think
Alan has very variable cups; see the next recipe.
