When His people are without strength, without resources, without hope, without human gimmicks – then He loves to stretch forth His hand from heaven. INGREDIENTS

1/4 c Milk
1/4 c Sugar
1/4 c Warm water
1 pk Active dry yeast
3 tb Butter
2 1/4 c All-purpose flour
1 Beaten egg

In a small saucepan heat milk till bubbles start to form around edge of the
pan, add sugar and butter, stirring till butter and is melted, and sugar is
dissolved. Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large bowl. Cool milk mixture
till warm, then add it to the dissolved yeast mix. Add beaten egg and 1 1/2
cups of the flour, beat with spoon till smooth. Add the rest of the flour,
then turn out on a floured surface, and knead till dough is satiny and
elastic. Place in a greased bowl and let rise in a warm place till doubled
in bulk. Use for cinnamon swirls, sweet rolls etc.
