Do you want to know that your [Christian] life is real? Commit yourself to a local group of saved sinners. Try to love them. Don’t just do it for three weeks. Don’t just do it for six months. Do it for years. And I think you’ll find out, and others will, too, whether or not you love God. The truth will show itself.
There is no purpose in having a basis or a confession of faith unless it is applied. So we must assert the element of discipline as being essential to the true life of the church. And what calls itself a church which does not believe in discipline, and does not use it and apply it, is therefore not a true church.
Brown ground beef and onion. Add catsup and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer
for 20 minutes. Add kidney beans, garlic powder, chili powder and salt and
pepper to taste. Simmer for 30 minutes. Serve on toasted bun and tip with
