God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)
All God’s promises depend upon Christ alone. This is a notable assertion and one of the main articles of our faith. It depends in turn upon another principle – that it is only in Christ that God the Father is graciously inclined towards us. His promises are the testimonies of His fatherly goodwill towards us. Thus it follows that they are fulfilled only in Christ… Secondly, we are incapable of possessing God’s promises till we have received the remission of our sins and that comes to us through Christ.
God’s guidance will require patience on our part. His leading is not usually a direct assurance, a revelation, but His sovereign controlling of the circumstances of our lives, with the Word of God as our rule. It is therefore, inevitable that the unfolding of His purposes will take time – sometimes a very long time.
Preparation time: 30 minutes Heat oil in deep large skillet over medium
heat 5 minutes. Meanwhile cut each steak lengthwise into 1" wide strips,
then cut crosswise in 1" pieces. Sprinkle meat with 2 ts. spicy seasoning.
Stir-fry meat and onion 2 to 3 minutes. Season with salt if desired. Add
tomatoes (break up with back of spoon), corn and remaining 2 1/2 teaspoons
of the seasoning mix. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium low and
simmer, uncovered, 18 to 20 minutes. Serving suggestions: Tortilla chips
and melon wedges.
