We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

God may forgive me, but I can't forgive myself. This statement may be another form of pride masking as false humility. God, the Judge and Arbiter in the highest courtroom, pronounces you 'not guilty' by virtue of what Christ has done for you on the cross. But when you make this statement, you function as the judge and arbiter in a much lower court and overrule the higher court's decision. This reveals contempt for God's stature as the ultimate Judge. If you do not see your daily need of the mercy of Christ and do not experience it regularly, you will not extend it to others when they sin against you.
Timothy Lane

But didn't the OT endorse the casting of “lots”? Yes, but casting of lots “is a biblical illustration not of gambling (for no money or other value was placed at risk in hopes of greater gain) but of individuals trusting a sovereign God to direct the ‘chance’ disposition or direction of the lay of the lots. People used ‘chance’ to understand God's will. Their faith was not in chance but in God” (Rogers, CRJ, p. 21-22). Be it noted, also, that subsequent to the casting of lots in Acts 1 the practice is nowhere mentioned (or endorsed) in Scripture. It would appear that, with Pentecost and the coming of the fullness of the Holy Spirit, God has dispensed with all such forms of ascertaining His will.

Generous Quart. Note: "New York Super Fudge Chunk was developed as a
regional flavor for the sophisticated New York palate. After coming up
with several variations in our Burlington lab,we packed the samples in
dry ice and shipped them by bus to our New york consultants, a group
of musicians on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Following several weeks
of refinement and discussion, we all agreed on this final recipe- a
chocolate lover's dream." Posted to recipelu-digest Volume 01 Number
