We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

[This] is not about the culture out there. It’s about those of us here—about what we as Christians are doing, what we are seeing, and what we may not know we are doing and seeing. I’m afraid we (including I) don’t have the eyes to see how much the world has squeezed us into its mold. If we could transport Christians from almost any other century to any of today’s “Christian” countries in the West, I believe what would surprise them most (besides our phenomenal affluence) is how at home Christians are with sexual impurity. It doesn’t shock us. It doesn’t upset us. It doesn’t offend our consciences. In fact, unless it’s really bad, sexual impurity seems normal, just a way of life, and downright entertaining.
Kevin DeYoung

Joy in God in the midst of suffering makes the worth of God – the all-satisfying glory of God – shine more brightly than it would through our joy at any other time. Sunshine happiness signals the value of sunshine. But happiness in suffering signals the value of God. Suffering and hardship joyfully accepted in the path of obedience to Christ show the supremacy of Christ more than all our faithfulness in fair day.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Dairy 1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

2 oz Low-fat soy milk*
1 tb Butter Buds or Molly McButter
1 ts Cornstarch; (dissolved in cool soy milk)

INSTRUCTIONS

When Smart-Beats took their truly fat free margarine off the market (and
replaced it with one high in fat but labeled "Better than Fat Free") I had
to try to invent a butter-like spread for my baked potatoes. Here's what I
came up with:
Mix thoroughly while over low heat or 10-second microwave bursts. Adjust
for desired thickness, but tastes better and keeps potato more moist when
consistency is slightly runny.
* I use "Better than Milk?" Light powdered soy milk, mixed according to the
container directions. It is not sweetened and enhances the butter-flavor.
One serving has 21 calories, about 8 percent calories from fat (0.12 g fat,
4 g carbohydrate and about 1 g of protein).
180 mg sodium.
Can be combined in a blender with fresh chopped garlic or garlic powder to
make "Garlic-Buttah" for a fat free garlic bread.
