We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Why do we desire the spread of the gospel throughout the world? Not out of a sinful imperialism or triumphalism, whether for ourselves or the church or even 'Christianity.' Nor just because evangelism is part of our Christian obedience (though it is). Nor primarily to make other people happy (though it does). But especially because the glory of God and of His Christ is at stake. God is King, has inaugurated His saving reign through Christ, and has a right to rule in the lives of His creatures. Our ambition, then, is to seek first His kingdom, to cherish the passionate desire that His name should receive from men the honor which is due to it.
John Stott

Public men must expect public criticism, and as the public cannot be regarded as infallible, public men may expect to be criticized in a way which is neither fair nor pleasant. To all honest and just remarks we are bound to give due measure of heed, but to the bitter verdict of prejudice, the frivolous faultfinding of men of fashion, the stupid utterances of the ignorant, and the fierce denunciations of opponents, we may very safely turn a deaf ear.
C.H. Spurgeon

INSTRUCTIONS

Variation of Bean Burger calling for Kidney Beans posted on Intercook by
Sandee Eveland. I didn't have all the right ingredients for that recipe so
experimented with black beans instead.
Mix all ingredients well. Using 1/4 lb hamburger press, make four burgers.
Can vary the taste with more/less spices.
Preheat electric skillet to 350 degrees. Spray with vegetable spay. Fry
burgers about 15 minutes, turning once or twice until surface is golden
brown and burger feels "set"
The consistency of these burgers "May" allow them to be grilled on bbq.
Have not tried that yet.
Will have son evaluate this experiment. These passed the taste test!
