Scripture testifies to its own inspiration; it is the Word of God, originating outside of man. This is particularly important to understand in a culture dominated by the subjectivity of postmodernism. Truth cannot be subjective; there is no such thing as your truth or my truth. Truth is forever fixed. Authentic Christianity has always held that Scripture is absolute, objective truth. The Bible is God's truth regardless of whether a person believes, understands, or likes it. It is a permanent and universal truth, and therefore, is the same for everyone.
In Christ’s day the world was filled with intellectuals and influential people. There were celebrated philosophers in Athens, unsurpassed scholars in Alexandria, the most powerful political leaders the world had ever known in Rome, and some of the most meticulous rabbis of all time in and around Jerusalem. Christ bypassed them all and called simple, crude, unknown, and uneducated fishermen from Galilee to be His disciples.
TOPPING
Combine cake mix, oil, pudding mix, eggs, coffee & liquor in large mixing
bowl. Beat about 4 minutes at medium speed. Spoon into well greased Bundt
pan. Bake 45-50 minutes at 350. Rest in Bundt pan for 30 minutes. Remove
from pan. When cool, punch holes in the cake with cake tester or fork.
Spoon topping over cake. Topping: Combine ingredients, mix well & spoon
over cake (I used a pastry brush & it worked very well!).
