We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Sola Scriptura will bring about a revolution in your reading, studying, and living of Scripture. Knowing now the incredible life-changing resource that God has put into your hands, you will develop a specific plan to read and study the whole Bible through, listen to the Bible on tape, listen to sermons on tape, help your spouse and children read and study more, memorize God’s promises that help you escape the corruption of the world, pray through the Scriptures asking God for help in applying them, write specific applications that God wants you to do, meditate on special portions of God’s Word, remove those things from your life that quench your thirst for Scripture, and get involved in a church where God’s Word is faithfully taught as “the complete, perfect, all-embracing, and all-sufficient revelation from God that will never need amendment, correction, or supplementation.”
John Thompson

It’s silly when you put it in perspective. We think about missing a meal or two for the sake of becoming more like Jesus and we get anxious. And yet we willingly miss meals sometimes while shopping, working, recreating, or otherwise occupied. Whenever we believe another activity is at that moment more important, we will go without food fearlessly and without complaint. We need to learn that there are times when it can be not only more important, but much more rewarding to feast on God than food (Matthew 4:4). We should not fear the blessings of fasting.

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
1 servings

INGREDIENTS

1 Blood orange
1/2 Pomegranate
Cold water; as needed

INSTRUCTIONS

Measure the opening of the punch bowl, and select a ring mold that is
neither too large for the bowl not too small to chill the punch.
Slice the blood orange into paper-thin rounds, and then cut the
rounds into sixths; set them aside. Remove seeds from half a
pomegranate. Sprinkle the pomegranate seeds on the bottom of the ring
mold, and arrange the orange sections on top of the seeds. Carefully
fill the ring mold with cold water. Freeze until solid, several hours
or overnight. To unmold, dip the ring in a large bowl of tepid water,
touching only the outside of the mold. Turn mold over, and remove the
ice ring. Then place ice ring in a filled punch bowl.
