We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Not that I think only the law should be preached. The Gospel is to be preached as well as the law. The law is to be preached only to make way for the Gospel, and in order that it may be preached more powerfully. The main work of a minister is to preach the Gospel.
Jonathan Edwards

When the believer is smarting under the rod let him not say, God is now punishing me for my sins. That can never be. That is most dishonoring to the blood of Christ. God is correcting thee in love, not smiting in wrath. Nor should the Christian regard the chastening of the Lord as a sort of necessary evil to which he must bow as submissively as possible. No, it proceeds from God’s goodness and faithfulness, and is one of the greatest blessings for which we have to thank Him. Chastisement evidences our Divine son-ship: the father of a family does not concern himself with those on the outside: but those within he guides and disciplines to make them conform to his will. Chastisement is designed for our good, to promote our highest interests. Look beyond the rod to the All-wise hand that wields it!

CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

8 oz Jar cheez whiz
Green food coloring
25 To 30 pretzel sticks
Waxed paper
Long handled spoon
Platter

INSTRUCTIONS

With an adults help, melt the cheeze whiz in the microwave or on top
of the stove, according to directions on the jar. Allow the cheese to
cool slightly in the jar. Using a long handled spoon, carefully stir
about three drops of green food coloring into the warm cheese, using
just enough to turn the cheese a delicate snot green. To form
boogers: Dip and twist the tip of each prtezel stick into the cheese,
lift out, wait twenty seconds, then dip again. When cheese lumps reach
an appealingly boogerish size, set pretzels, booger down, onto a sheet
of waxed paper. Allow finished boogers on a stick to cool at room
temperature for ten minutes or until cheese is firm. Gently pull
boogers off waxed paper and arrange on a serving platter. Serves 5 to
6 booger buddies. Sicko Serving Suggestion: Place a bowl of chunky red
salsa in the center of the platter so that guests can turn plain
buggers into bloody ones. From the Book: Gross Grub by Cheryl Porter
