We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

It is an immutable fact that we will never get anywhere in life without discipline – especially in spiritual matters. There are some who have innate athletic or musical advantages. But none of us can claim an innate spiritual advantage. None of us are inherently righteous, none of us naturally seek God or are reflexively good. Therefore, as children of grace, our spiritual discipline is everything.
Kent Hughes

Some Christians [consider administration]…a secondary gift, appearing less important than other functions of service. Frequently one hears pastors consider (administration being) nonessential, uninteresting, and less spiritual than, say, preaching, teaching, or counseling… People who reason this way misunderstand a significant biblical concept that sets forth the function of administration as a cherished spiritual gift.
